Availability and pricing

The iPhone 13 was released in October 2021, with the base 128GB model costing £779/$799/€909. The phone is also available with 256GB of storage for £879/$899/€1029 or 512GB for £1079/$1099/€1259.

In January 2021, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S21, which had been ten months in the making. The phone starts at £769/$799/€799 for 128GB, with 256GB retailing for £819/$849/€849. You’ll need to upgrade to the top-of-the-line Ultra model if you want 512GB of storage.

In terms of price, the two phones are fairly comparable, with only £10 separating them in the UK. However, the S21 is just slightly less expensive.

Design and screen

The iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 2532 x 1170 resolution.

The Galaxy S21 has a slightly larger 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a lower resolution of 2400 x 1080 but the extra benefit of a 120Hz refresh rate, which Apple’s current lineup only has on the Pro model.

The iPhone 13 has dimensions of 146 x 71.5 x 7.65mm and weighs 173 grammes. Product Red, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, and Pink are among the five colours available for the phone, which has a glass back and an aluminium construction.

With dimensions of 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm and a weight of 169g, the S21 is slightly taller and thicker than the S20. Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, and Phantom Pink are the four colours available for the phone’s back.

Both phones have an IP68 rating, which means they can withstand being submerged in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 metres.

Specifications and camera Apple’s latest A15 Bionic processor, featuring a six-core CPU, four-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, powers the iPhone 13. It has a total of 4GB of RAM.

Apple’s new Cinematic mode and features like Live Text, which can retrieve addresses and phone numbers from your photo gallery, are powered by the 5nm CPU. With Apple Arcade, it can also play a variety of games.

In the United States, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset is used, while in Europe, including the United Kingdom, the Exynos 2100 is used. It has 8GB of RAM, which is twice as much as the iPhone 13.

The Exynos 2100 is a significant upgrade over previous Exynos chipsets. The 2100, like the A15, is built on a 5nm technology, which gives it a longer battery life than the S20. The GPU has also been updated, ensuring that gaming performance remains unaffected.

The operating systems are one of the biggest differences: the iPhone 13 runs on Apple’s own iOS 15, while the S21 runs on Google’s Android 11, with an upgrade to Android 12 on the way.

A 12-megapixel wide angle lens with an f/1.6 aperture and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture make up the dual rear camera on the iPhone 13. The camera has a 5x digital zoom capability, and there’s a 12-megapixel TrueDepth (f/2.2) camera on the front for selfies.

The iPhone can shoot 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and supports Dolby Vision, as well as Apple’s Cinematic mode, which provides a shallow depth of focus when filming in 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The S21 includes a triple camera on the back, which means it has one extra lens than the iPhone 13. It has two 12-megapixel sensors, one wide angle with an f/1.8 aperture and the other ultra-wide angle with an f/2.2 aperture, just like the iPhone. A third 64-megapixel telephoto (f/2.0) lens with 3x hybrid optic zoom and up to 30x super resolution zoom is also included.

The S21 supports HDR10+ and can take 8K video at 24fps and 4K at 60fps. On the front, there’s a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2.

Life of the battery

Because of its larger cells and more efficient chipset, the iPhone 13’s battery life outperformed the iPhone 12’s by a significant margin.

We discovered that watching Netflix in HDR at 75 percent brightness used up 7% of the iPhone’s battery. The Galaxy S21, on the other hand, consumed nearly 8% of its own battery when streaming Netflix in HDR at 50%.

Both phones, though, should be able to get you through a day of real-world use, despite the fact that neither comes with a charging plug in the box. Fortunately, the iPhone comes with a Lightning connector, and you should have no trouble finding a USB-C cable to charge the S21 from your laptop or tablet — though charging speeds may vary.

Both phones allow wireless charging, with the iPhone supporting both Qi and Apple’s own MagSafe technology. When you wish to lend your phone’s battery to a smartwatch or a set of earbuds, the S21 uses reverse charging.

The final word

Because the iPhone 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 are nearly comparable in price, deciding which 2021 phone is ideal for you can be tough.

Both phones have bright OLED displays, but the Samsung has the added benefit of a 120Hz display. Both are available in a variety of colours, with the iPhone’s glass back feeling more expensive.

Both phones include powerful top-of-the-line CPUs that can handle games and last longer than their predecessors. Both have 12-megapixel camera arrays, with the S21 giving superior magnification with a third telephoto lens and 8K video capabilities, and the iPhone taking advantage of Apple’s new Cinematic mode and Dolby Vision support.

The two phones also run on different operating systems, which could influence your decision depending on whether you prefer Android or iOS. Want to know more about الفروقات بين ايفون 13 برو ماكس و سامسونج اس 21 الترا? Visit our website today!
